Here are some up and coming events which Women in BIM will be involved with. We hope you will participate if you wish, come and see us or get in touch about being involved.
PS Digital Construction Week was brilliant and we’ll have a blog post up about it very soon.
Join us at Autodesk University
Are you attending Autodesk University 2016? Its from 15-17th November.
Women in BIM are currently on a mission to grow a global database of Women in BIM related roles. As strong advocates for a diverse industry we are passionate about supporting Women and other minorities, especially with global construction set to grow in the coming years and the skills shortages becoming critically important.
Having attended Autodesk University in the past and networked with key female and male decision makers in the community, we are keen to grow our database even further and understand how many women in BIM related roles will be in attendance. We also want to connect Women in the same geographies for mentoring, support and learning. We also see the database being used to support a growing number of regional ‘WomeninBIM’ hubs which we hope will continue to evolve and grow as BIM does!
If you are attending Autodesk University next week in Las Vegas, please fill in this form and let us know who you are and if you are interested in being involved in the group. We need to make sure we focus on advancing, retaining and promoting Women in BIM and with your help we can have a far wider reach at events such as AU where numbers of women must grow.
Scotland Digital Construction and BIM Summit 23rd November
Will you be attending the Scotland Digital Construction and BIM Summit on the 23rd Nov, 2016? Are you interested in representing Women in BIM? Please get in touch by responding here or emailing email@example.com.
Building Live: London 29 November
Women in BIM will have a stand at Building Live. Come and meet Pam Bhandal and Su Butcher to find out more about Women in BIM and chat about what we’re going to be up to.
If you have colleagues attending please tell them about us, look out for the WomenInBIM banners and badges and pick up a supporters sticker!
BIM Show Live: Call for Papers
BIM Show Live returns in February 2017 in Newcastle and the Call for Papers is open now. Find out more on their website here and let us know if you’re submitting a paper on the LinkedIn group. The deadline for submission is Wednesday 30th November. We’re hoping if enough WomeninBIM submit papers we’ll be able to have a stand at the show and support all our women speakers, so don’t delay! If you’re thinking about submitting a paper and need some advice, BSL are running a webinar on how to submit a killer paper. Sign up for the webinar here.
Looking for Women Speakers?
If you’re concerned about the lack of women speakers available to speak on BIM topics, do not fear, Women in BIM is here! Many of our database members are willing to speak on areas of their specialism, and we already have members all round the world. We can also help find women for panels so you never have to face the criticism of the #allmalepanel again.
If you know of other events which Women in BIM should be attending, those that would like or should have female speakers, do get in touch. We’d be happy to help.
Join the Database
Our Database of Women in BIM is growing fast – thank you to all of you who have joined already. Please share the database sign up link (http://bit.ly/womeninbimdb) with women you know in BIM and feel free as always to share our website, FAQ page and sign up for our mailing list.
